Welcome to Library Resources for the 2024-2025 Academic Year
Our goal for this session is to provide an overview of the new website, describe library instruction and outreach opportunities, review some key research guides and make sure you are aware of the library resources that are accessible via the Blackboard Ultra Content Market.
Most importantly, we want to make sure you have my contact information if you have questions about any of the resources available or if you want to schedule library instruction or simply need help planning for and implementing digital tools and resources in your instruction.
Website Resources
- Course ReservesIf you are currently teaching a course, you can place items such as books and DVDs on reserve at the Help Desk.
These items are meant for your class’s use throughout the semester, and can be pulled from the library’s collection or from an instructor’s personal collection. - Faculty ServicesThe library offers a variety of services to faculty including library instruction, collaborative planning, digital tools and resources, course reserves and more.
- Journal A-Z listThis search box allows you to search for electronic journals the library offers. We are working on adding the journals in our print collection to this resource as well.
- InterLibrary LoanRequesting an interlibrary loan is easy!
To request material from other libraries, follow these easy steps:
Search our catalog for the item
Click on the item from the search results list
If the item is not available at the Catawba College Library, click on "Request Item through Interlibrary Loan" and complete the steps. There is a video available on the linked page with more information. - Online DatabasesCatawba has access to over 150 online databases.
