Since 1925, the Corriher-Linn-Black Library at Catawba College has been a congressionally designated depository for U.S. Government documents. Since 2017, we have chosen to select e-only items. The links for these items, as well as the records and call numbers for older items, can be found in our catalog. Historical items are located in the lower level of the library in the compact shelving. Many of these items can also be found in our catalog. Ask at the Help Desk if you have questions.
Public access to the government documents collection is guaranteed by public law (Title 44, United States Code). The United States Government is committed to providing information on its programs and services to the American public; one way in which it does this is through the Federal Depository Library Program.
Federal depository resources are available and usable for all library users regardless of library affiliation. Any member of the general public may use depository resources in all formats at a Federal depository library free of charge and without impediments.
