Using copilot.microsoft.com, prompt AI to create a research topic based on the title of your course. You will need to give the AI the role of a college freshman enrolled in a first-year seminar course at a 4-year liberal arts college and then identify the subject of the FYS seminar. Select the research topic you like best to use as you work through PART 1: Selecting a Database.

Go to the library’s database page. Find the subject in the database list that best represents the research question above. Read the descriptions of some of the databases and select the best one for the research topic (don’t click or search it yet).

: Locate an article and cite it In this segment you will work with the previous groups’ keywords and database selection to find 1 article.

Using the database suggestion and keywords above search for a peer-reviewed journal article on the topic.  Respond to the prompts on the Pass the Problem Activity Sheet.
