The Curriculum Materials Center is a facility that is affiliated with the Teacher Education Department, and as such serves teacher education majors and minors primarily.
The collection contains textbooks and curriculum related materials for grades K-12 as well as several computers of various platforms for use by students in evaluating K-12 software.
The children's literature collection and the education-related journals are housed in the main library, although there are some small representative collections in the CMC. The collection is automated as a part of the Corriher-Linn-Black Library system, WMS, and the CMC has a dedicated on-line public access catalog (OPAC) which accesses the catalog and circulation modules. The ERIC database available through the CMC is of special interest to teacher education students.
The CMC contains lego robotics kits, 3D printer, copier, scanner, color printer, paper cutter, laminator, lettering machines, and die cutter templates available for student use. Education students also have access to iPads and Macbooks that can be used in the CMC when not being used for classes.
